Laura MacDonald

Originally from a small town in Nova Scotia, Laura K MacDonald graduated from the University of Toronto Mississauga and Sheridan College Theatre and Drama Studies program in the spring of 2009. Laura is thrilled to be appearing as the character Rachel with the wonderful cast and crew of Far From The Heart. Some of her favourite theatre credits include Cassandra in Trojan Women, Monique in Bonjour la, Bonjour, and Edith in A New Life at Theatre Erindale, Anna in A Freckle A Flicker for the Toronto Fringe Festival, Gen in The Selkie Wife with Fly By Night Theatre and Daughter in the one woman show she wrote and produced called Hello, My name is Daughter.

“The scenario, the dialogue, the action, could all have ’viewer discretion advised’ warnings, but that’s the point. it makes you squirm in your seat. It makes you think.”

The Meaford Express

“The production was nothing short of wonderful. Without self-consciousness, topics long dormant sprang back to life again. Beneath the laughter and delight of watching scenes unfold and remix, the more serious side of the message reached its goal.”
